PARENTS
As parents, we want our kids to grow up to be happy, healthy, successful adults doing something they love. But helping them explore all the possible career options is nearly impossible. Enter the regional coordinators at the Iowa Intermediary Network. Providing a career simulator to help students discover their passions is what they do. And, they do it well.
DIVERSE EXPERIENCES
Your area coordinator of the Iowa Intermediary Network (IIN) provides diverse experiences students can use to evaluate choices and reach better informed decisions. Experiences can involve multiple career pathways, or can involve multiple perspectives on a single industry, as it did when students interested in aviation learned from an airline pilot, an air traffic control professional, a pilot in agriculture, and an aircraft mechanic. Is your child unsure if they want a degree in engineering or they want to work in construction? Not a problem. By working with schools and industry, IIN coordinators will help them explore what a career in each would be like.
From ag to fine arts to health sciences, IIN coordinators are great resources for making the necessary connections need to gain valuable career experiences!
