Statewide events connected to CTE standards to connect classrooms with engaging industry experts. Each event registration is free and includes a direct connection of the event to industry standards, topics covered in the event, and example assessments articulated to the content covered in the event. Information and registration is provided below. If you are unable to make an event a recording will be available 1 week after each event.

Plumbing Pathway - Panel

Every new construction site needs a plumber to connect fixtures and this high-demand, hands-on career is a rewarding and high-paying career. Learn directly from experts on basic plumbing installation in new construction and how to navigate a career in
plumbing. This Build University series includes two events, an expert panel discussion and a worksite tour. These events will highlight the foundational content in applied science, technology, engineering and manufacturing construction standard 4.4.

Control Your Inventory: Make $$$!

FIFO, LIFO, and weighted-average inventory...oh my! This session will help connect how different inventory methods affect profit margins along with a panel discussion on careers
related to inventory, and accounting. Learn from experts on the value to control inventory costs
to increase organizational profits! This event will connect to business standards 11.6.3 and
11.10.

IT: Emerging Technologies

How do individuals and organizations prevent cybersecurity threats? Learn from experts why hacks happen, consequences of breaches, tools to minimize risks, and responses to breaches. Industry experts make real connections to information technology standard IT 6.5.

Co-ops: Ag for All

Tune in to watch experts provide an express look into the growing season. Learn the processes used to plan for preparing to grow a crop, the technology used for application, post harvest analysis and environmental considerations taken. Each expert will also share about their careers in the co-ops. Content standard agriculture, food, and Natural resources CRP.10.01.
